As a person who went through most of my life so far skin problem free and then in the recent years got diagnosed with Rosacea and went through a very difficult time, I am always on the look out for natural ways to make your skin clear, healthy and glowing. I came across this article and I had to share it with all of you!
Oftentimes, we spend so much money on expensive products that may or may not work but we are willing to do that as our skin is very important. Especially our face. We feel self-conscious when we have even one blemish or pimple and do anything to cover it up!
Here are some things that you can find in your kitchen that can help you get that healthy glowing skin:
1. Tropical Fruits
Fruits such as papaya, pineapple and kiwi are rich with vitamin C which is a powerful antioxidant.
It replenishes our skin pores and it produces collagen which keeps skin firm and elastic.
2. Broccoli
They are high in antioxidants as well vitamin E and C. It keeps skin healthy and vitamin E protects it against UV damage.
3. Almonds
Almonds are one of the best sources of vitamin E. It nourishes your skin but eat in moderation due to calories.
4. Whole Grains (pasta and bread)
Imagine that? Apparently whole grain has mineral selenium which is an antioxidant that promotes elasticity and general skin health.
5. Carrots
They are high in beta carotene which is antioxidant that converts into vitamin A inside your body.
It makes your skin look vibrant and fresh and also repairs skin tissue.
6. Pumpkin Seeds
They are high in zinc and this protects cell membranes and promotes skin renewal.
7. Fish
We all know ( or should know) that fish is high in omega 3 fats. It keeps toxins out, it fights inflammation, protects against sun and it is also said that it can reduce certain type of skin cancers.
8. Water
Last but not least and most obvious one is water. It delivers nutrients to cells, flushes your system out, makes your skin clear and radiant. Put a few slices of lemon in there, it’s even better and more beneficial.
