FOTD – Straight hair and soft tones

This is the first time I’ve straightened my hair in a year! I want it to just let it be and it helped with the healing process. Also, I have been wearing really intense lip colours for a while now that I forgot how fun a nude and soft look can be. This look was created with my new Smashbox Studio Pop Palette, which I absolutely love.

I really love the pigmentation of these eyeshadows. I don’t own any Smashbox products actually so this is my first time trying anything of theirs. I will do a review on this palette pretty soon .

I’ve used the gold (4th row, 3rd from L) and brown shadow (2nd row, last) from the Smashbox Studio Pop Palette.

On my lips I am wearing MAC’s Hue.

As I love to glow all year round, here I am wearing a baked bronzer by Hard Candy, 129 in Tiki. It’s a gorgeous subtle gold glow.

My brows are filled in with actually an ashy black shade crayon like texture pencil that I picked up from a random store. I really like it. In my opinion, they look natural and the shade is perfect which is something I struggle with to find.

CYMERA_20150112_122321-2I probably won’t straighten my hair again for a very long time. I like my hair straight but I also don’t feel like myself. It doesn’t help that everyone tells me I look like a different person. Not sure if that’s a good thing or bad lol

  1. You look beautiful! The gold eyeshadow works really well with your skin tone. I’m trying to stop straightening my hair too. I want my hair to be healthier but I find it difficult to style when it’s not straight.

      1. Oh yes lots! I have experimented with my hair so much and tried many products and you can definitely find that info on my blog. One product i love is shea moisture.

  2. 🙂 True, you look so different with straight hair, but I like it just as much as I like your curly hair!
And the nude lipstick looks really good on you!
    Happy weekend! 🙂

  3. Looking good!! As always. I find when I straighten my hair which is easier to manage and lasts longer but falls too flat that I do prefer it curly. My hair curled best when you did it for me. You should do a video tutoriAl!
