Few new products I’ve been loving! (product reviews)

Sephora Micro Smooth Baked Luminizer / Rimmel London ScandalEyes Thin and Thick Liner / Essence Metal Glam Eyeshadow/Drew Barrymore Flower Zoom In Mascara

I just wanted to share a few make up items I have been absolutely loving lately!

1. Sephora Micro Smooth Baked Luminizer in Star Dust $17 CAD

2014-12-04 13.59.59
There are two shades of this luminizer. One is more yellow/white gold (the one I got) and the other is leaning more towards pink.
I love this one because the glow it leaves you with s just perfect. It’s subtle and natural. It is not chalky at all and there are no glitter particles. It is smooth and compliments any skin complexion. I love my cheeks to glow on the regular while others prefer to do it for a night time look, or special occasion. I think it’s more so of which product you use. The really sparkly ones , sure, they are not appropriate for every occasion but this one is. You can dab only a little bit to brighten up your skin or dab a little more to really glow!

2. Rimmel London ScandalEyes Thin and Thick Liner (slanted tip) $4.99 CAD

I love Rimmel liquid eyeliner and it is the one I use the most. I noticed this pen liner on sale at a drug mart so decided to try it. Although I still prefer my liquid liner I’ve been using for years, this one is not all the way bad.
It is extremely easy to use and I would definitely recommend this to the ladies that have a love/hate relationship with liquid liners or that are not experienced using one but would like to try.
The tip is shaped in a way that you can use is as a marker and you have control how thick or thin you want your line to be. You can do various flicks as well.

The only thing I would prefer is for it to be a little more intense and pigmented. I feel the black is more on the faded side.

3. Essence Metal Glam Eyeshadow in Golden Up $2.49 CAD

How beautiful is this shadow? I love Essence , in case you haven’t seen me say that the other 55 times lol. I haven’t had a chance to really use this yet but I cannot wait to do some looks with it. It is really glittery but it also depends how much of it you use. It can be applied lightly for a more opaque look or a little more heavily applied to really see the gold shine through.

4. Drew Barrymore Flower Zoom In Ultimate Mascara (3 in 1) $10.99 CAD

I heard she was coming out with her make up line and didn’t know what to make of that. But hey everyone these days is coming out with perfumes and such so ….
My friend Marall and I were at Walmart the other day and both picked this up to see what the big hype about it was.
Well, it has an adjustable wand! The tip of the applicator brush twists, 3 times to change the look of the brush. (see pic below) and lets you control the length and volume. It is pretty neat.

It applies well, it separates the lashes nicely. It does not clump up and it is easy to remove. Other than that, I don’ think it’s magical as advertised but for the price and the adjustable wand, I really do like it.

Have you guys tried any of these items? If you have, what do you think?

  1. I have to try that Rimmel eyeliner ! Cause I have a love/hate relationship with liquid eyeliners.
N I agree with what you said about the mascara.
