Darkest lipstick I ever wore but I think I kinda like it !

ImageAlthough I do wear all shades and colours of lipsticks, I am not afraid to experiment, I always gravitate towards pink shades mainly. I am not really into dark colours, because I feel it does not suit me but I have been seeing deep purples and deep magenta colours lately so I thought I’d give it a try and I actually really like it.

I would not wear this lip every day, it would have to be a night out somewhere for sure. More of a fancy look in my opinion.

The actual colour does not translate well into the photos and I’ve really tried. It’s much deeper and more purple in real life. Either way it’s very close to what it is and I am a fan.
The lipstick is L’Absolu Nu Lipcolor in  Prune Mantille by Lancome. It’s creamy and long lasting. The texture of it feels nice on the lips. I do find it bleeds a little bit but for me that seems to be the case with a lot of brights and extremely pigmented lipsticks. It’s such a sexy bold colour.

I think this lipstick is from their 2012 Midnight Roses collection.

  1. I am forever a dark lip fan 😀 woohoo, you got this gorgeous thing! I must admit I’d get this right away but I do feel they are quite expensive and I am always on the lookout for a cheaper alternative 😀 definitely wear this in an evening out, you’ll get so many compliments

    1. Yes they are expensive and I normally always go for cheaper options. I am a big fan of drug marts. I think you can find great quality products and they’re affordable but every now and then I do treat myself to something pricier 🙂

      1. That’s true, you sure can find good stuff there. Eh, I understand, it feels so special when you treat yourself to the expensive ones instead hehe

  2. What a gorgeous shade on you! I happen to LOVE Lancôme lipsticks and have a few. They are ultra creamy, pigmented and have pretty good staying power. Great choice in colour!
